Varselio vs SafePrompt
Varselio is a Swedish security service that checks what your website chatbot or AI agent is about to say or do, in real time, and stops prompt injection, jailbreaks and data leaks before they cause harm, asking a human before risky actions.

- Varselio if you want a ready service that both checks and acts, with a dashboard, alerts, human approval on the phone, simple prepaid pricing in SEK and EU data hosting. It is new and in public beta.
- SafePrompt if you are a developer who wants a detection API with a free monthly quota and will build the enforcement yourself.
What is the main difference between Varselio and SafePrompt?
SafePrompt is a prompt injection detection API: your app sends a text and gets back a verdict (safe or not, a confidence score, threats and reasoning), and your app enforces it. Varselio is a ready service that checks what a chatbot or agent is about to say or do and answers go ahead, wait for a human, or stop, with approval on the phone for risky actions.
How do the prices compare?
SafePrompt lists Free ($0, 10,000 validations a month), Starter ($29 a month) and Business ($99 a month); paid plans renew monthly until cancelled. Varselio is free to start, then prepaid passes of 279, 1,419 or 2,259 SEK incl. VAT for 1, 6 or 12 months, and nothing renews automatically.
Which one should I choose?
A developer who wants a detection API and will build the blocking logic can start with SafePrompt's free tier. A company that wants checks, blocking, human approval and alerts without building them can choose Varselio. Varselio is new and in public beta.

About prompt injection (OWASP LLM01)
Prompt injection is number one on the OWASP Top 10 for LLM applications: LLM01:2025 Prompt Injection. OWASP notes that it is unclear whether fool-proof prevention exists, and recommends layered measures such as input and output filtering, least privilege and human approval for high-risk actions.
Varselio reduces risk, but no security product is 100% secure: it cannot guarantee that every harmful message or action is detected.
